JoSAA Counselling is conducted by JoSAA, an authority set up by the Ministry of Education to manage and regulate the counselling process. Admission to all the academic programs offered by these Participating Institutes is made through a single platform. What is JoSAA Counselling? JoSAA or The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) Counselling is the joint seat allocation proccess for admission to 114 insitutes in India. These include 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs and 33 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs).
For the academic session 2022-23, JoSAA is scheduled to conduct the counselling for 114 academic institutes in India. JEE Main 2022 scores are to be used for admission to NITs, IIITs and GFTIs while JEE Advanced 2022 scores will be used for seat allotment in IITs. However, additional super round counselling is conducted through CSAB in cases of vacant seats available NIT+System. JoSAA is going to conduct six rounds of counselling for admission to top IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs.
